Cabernet Cantor
Add to wish listOrigin: Cabernet Cantor is a fungus-resistant red wine variety bred in 1989 and was crossed at the Staatlichen Weinbauinstitut Freiburg.
Interbreeding: Seibel 7053 X Solaris
Characteristics: The bud burst occurs a few days before Pinot Noir. The time of ripening is about 1 week before Pinot Noir. The variety has a low tendency to rot and grape stem rot. The growth is horizontal and strong with few side shoots.
Resistance:
Grape: The grapes are large with large berries. It is noticeable that the grape is very loose-grained, which makes the PIWI variety much less susceptible to botrytis.
Wine: Wines made from Cabernet Cantor are subtly aromatic, mild and rich in color. They have a typical Cabernet or Merlot character.
